In addition to making many web pages look bad, it has many security issues that have been fixed in more recent versions. So do yourself a favor, and get the most recent version of IE. On April 21st, 2012, Bloomington Chamber Singers will present Ludwig van Beethoven’s masterpiece, his Missa Solemnis in D, op. 123. One of the pillars of Western choral-orchestral music, Missa Solemnis was composed at the end of Beethoven’s life, and is universally recognized as a work of extraordinary musical and spiritual importance. Music Director Gerald Sousa will lead the 80-voice choir, orchestra, and soloists.
Tickets for this event will be available beginning mid-February.
OPEN AUDITIONS FOR VOCAL SOLOISTS WILL BE HELD SATURDAY, JANUARY 21st, from 1-5pm at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. DETAILS AND ONLINE SIGN-UP CAN BE FOUND HERE.
BCS is accepting a limited number of qualified choral singers to join the group for the rehearsals and performance of this work. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings from 7-9:30pm. Interested singers should contact Music Director Gerry Sousa at gerry@gsousa.com.
